After wandering around in Tai O for a while, it was time for coffee. Environment & Cleanliness:This place was almost at the end of the street and could be missed easily. I loved the homey feel that this cafe had and the choice of wooden chairs they used. Also, the restaurant had a nice breeze and view because it is located right along the water and you can see the famous little white house. How relaxing! If you sit outside, you can see where the magic happens. I mean where the baking/cooking ha

This place was almost at the end of the street and could be missed easily. I loved the homey feel that this cafe had and the choice of wooden chairs they used. Also, the restaurant had a nice breeze and view because it is located right along the water and you can see the famous little white house. How relaxing! If you sit outside, you can see where the magic happens. I mean where the baking/cooking happens because I saw an oven, counter etc...Anyways, it looked clean and neat.
Service:The service was good. The girl who served us was really friendly and explained to us the process of iced drip coffee before my friend was sure that it was the drink she wanted. Later on, she even brought us some books about Tai O. You could tell that she loved her job and that she was proud to be living in Tai O.
Taste & Value:I orderd the Cafe Latte($38) and my friend had the Iced Drip Coffee ($40). My latte was alright. I've had better. The milk wasn't quite smooth enough and there was too much so I couldn't taste the espresso base all that well. However, I had a sip of my friend's Iced Drip and liked it. The staff told us that it would have a wine-like taste and it did. I thought that it'd be bitter and acidic like espresso, but those qualities weren't as pronounced. It was a small drink though for $40, but I guess these drinks would cost even more at other places. Overall, the drinks were kinda pricy I thought or maybe because everything else in Tai O was relatively cheap so they seemd expensive; especially after having a $10 lunch.
Final Verdict:I liked the service and I liked the fact that it had such a relaxing environment, but the drinks were soso. Maybe I'll go back next year and see if they improve.
