In conjunction with the French market event, I came to Stanley with my family for a relaxing evening and dinner of course. We have stopped by Pinot Duck which is located on the ground floor or Stanley Mall. There are not enough parking space available at Stanley Mall and the restaurant has kind enough to tell us to download the LINK PARK & DINE app beforehand to make sure there is parking space if you are driving. The restaurant has a few outdoor seating area but we prefer to seat indoor for its air-con. The doorfront and its interior look warm with light coloured floor and wall, along with dark coloured furniture. From the name of the restaurant, it's obvious that the restaurant features duck dishes. We also noticed that there is a fire place in the open kitchen which is to warm up the crepes, bun and other dishes which were to constructed in front of our eyes. We also liked how their menu was presenting to us, there is actually another one with A4 size photos for customer to pick their desired dishes. The plating embraces a mix of Western and Chinese vibe with cool pattern and napkins with plain colour. Eight Treasures Tea 養生八寶茶 ($40)
Eight different traditional Chinese delicacies to make this pot of tea using a very heavy metal tea pot. The ingredients like some pear, goji berries, chrysanthemum, and much more, were held on top and the hot water rushes through will be filled with all kind of different aroma. I liked that it has a hint of sweetness which is different from any tea that we normally sea in Chinese tea houses.

Pinotini ($90)
A sexy martini in Pinot Duck style made from vodka, grand marnier, champagne and pineapple juice combo creates a nice blushing color with tropical fruit as a garnish. It was the strongest cocktail among all three and I was just so down to it.

A summery refreshing mojito made from cachace 51 rum, mint, lime and soda combining with sugar and pristine grape juice. I liked that it was not too sweet while the mint and grape flavour just perfectly balanced with each other.

Another very summery refreshing drink with a sour kick which was made from gin, mint, cucumber and roselle mixing so slightly, taking on a lovely crisp flavour.

The fatty duck really reminded me of my short trip to 黃井 in Beijing, I remember I took a train from Shen Yang, sitting in 硬坐, and went to Beijing for a day trip. We had literally the whole super fatty duck in Beijing and I was absolutely memorable! If I have to pick one small flaw out of this dish, I would wish to have more leeks if possible!

It was actually pretty peppery and spicy surprisingly. The cucumber was pickeled until savoury and spicy, it was appetising but not everyone can accept this very unique taste.

The black truffle flavour was very aromatic which I think would go well with some French fries too!

A kind of sweet and sour sauce with candied fruit. The pungent taste was again very appetising and I think it was just the best dip to go with the crepe chips!

Before we move on to some dessert, we shared a bottle of sour refreshing ORGANIC gingel ale using ginger grown organically by Fairtrade farmers in Sri Lanka. It's clean, crisp and fiery flavour comes from its unique blend of ginger, vanilla, cane sugar, lemons, and a fair deal for the people who grow them.

Instead of poaching the pear in red wine, it was poached in rice wine with goji berries. The firmer texture pear absorbed all the floral flavour from the wine and sweet superfood goji berries. It was probably one of the healthiest dessert to enjoy!
