Friends and I went to this basement bar at Excelsior last night. It is quite a nice atmosphere and food was filling. Cannot miss out the beer of course! I ordered for myself an apple cider and later had a few glasses of Corona. Selection range is quite big. So let me talk about the food. Friends and I went to this basement bar at Excelsior last night. It is quite a nice atmosphere and food was filling. Cannot miss out the beer of course! I ordered for myself an apple cider and later had a few glasses of Corona. Selection range is quite big.
So let me talk about the food. We ordered a rib eye steak, a pulled pork burger, and onion rings for share between three. The portions are very big. The onion rings was most popular among us and the pulled pork burger was very tender and flavour was great. I particularly like the bun. But for that price, I would expect this standard.
The rib eye was a disappointment. The meat was difficult to chew and the sauce was quite weak. We quite regret ordering it, and the waiters seem to be too busy to notice us.
I will come back for the beer, the light snacks and the atmosphere, but feel the food is not as good. Many of the customers were foreigners, and you get a feeling that they have all the attention.
