I first discovered this area of Brim 28 as I had a friend who worked around Wan Chai. It's a nice spot as it's a bit off the main drag so it's not as crowded for lunch or dinner. I've been here a few times and the pastas here are top notch. Last week I stopped by to have dinner here on a weeknight. The restaurant was about 3/4 full. I ordered what I usually get when I want pasta - spaghetti alle vongole. I was tempted to try something new but at the end decided to stick with the tried and true.

The pasta arrived with plenty of clams, cherry tomatoes, and garlic. The smell was enticing and the linguini was cooked al dente. The flavor was rich and flavorful. My only complaint is that the pasta was pretty dry - it would have been even better to leave some sauce behind so as to better consume the linguini. Couldn't finish it all as it was too dry at the end. Aside from the pastas, the other food here seems to be just average. I ordered the tiramisu and it arrived very pretty in a sundae glass. As I start to dig in, I find very little mascarpone cheese and lots of cake. The entire thing was too dry as there was too much sponge cake in ratio, and there was no taste of alcohol or coffee at the botton layer of the cake. Pretty disappointing - I would just stick with the pasta here.
