I was attracted by the simplistic design of the front door and came here for lunch today. So there are two kind of tables available: the table at the bar and the so call 'seated' table. However, for whichever table you are given, each customer will have their own pot. So the menu they serve here are mostly sets with the option to order any extra food from the single menu. So the menu they serve here are mostly sets with the option to order any extra food from the single menu. As I want to try all kinds of meat they offer, I have ordered the Kuro Signature Set which includes wagyu Chuck roll, Kurobuta Pork shoulder and Satsuma Tori Things (they ran out of breast). To begin with each set is serve with a basket of assorted vegetable which includes Napa cabbage, enoki mushroom, thinly sliced carrots, leeks, some onion flakes and some glass noodles at the very bottom. Without knowing the presence of the glass noodles, I ordered an extra Inaniwa wudon.

Before I start to 'shabu shabu', I am guided to mix my own hot pot sauce using the specially made yuzi pepper sauce and the DIY sesame dressing. I added some of both to my plate . The taste of the mixture was quite appetizing - with the acidity of the yuzi and the silkiness of the sesame dressing, the spiciness of the pepper was slightly neutralized into a spicy kick to the very stomach-opening mixture. It goes especially with the glass noodles and the wudon.

As for the meat, I was told that each kind of meat has a different cooking time: beef being 3 seconds, pork and chickening being 5 seconds. It was only possible because the meat were thinly sliced to avoid over cooking and guarantee the meat to be tender.

Indeed, all 3 kinds of meat were exceedingly tender and the beef in particular, with the help of the oil portion, melted into my mouth. The texture of the pork and chicken was also surprising 'crunchy' in a way but remain the tenderness as you swallow them into your throat. Without doubt, the quality of meat served here is definitely complimentary.

Besides the meat, I also ordered the pork meatball - feeling daring that day. But it so turns out the meatballs were exceedingly juicy and flavourful. The texture was also unexpectedly crunchy - definitely recommended.

As for the wudon, I was also told that it only takes 30 seconds for the wudon to be fully cooked. And 30 seconds it was, the thinly cut wudon was very soft and chewy. A great complement to the meat together with the sesame sauce.

Lastly, just when I thought everything had been served. I was given a green tea ice cream as the dessert of the set. It was soft and flavourful - not the kind of artificial taste you would expect.

Lastly, It costed me around 350 for the lunch I had today. When compared to other all you can eat shabu shabu which sometimes cost as much as this, the quality of meat and service is far better. With that quality, I honestly think the money is so much worth when spending on this restaurant.
