New Location, Massive Improvement

I told Godbro XO about the new ice cream sandwich place in Fashion Walk, and we decided to meet up and have dinner in Fashion Walk and have dessert afterwards.  I told him to meet me at Burgeroom since it's right next to the dessert place, and it's hard to miss Burgeroom with those big red letters from the logo!I've been to Burgeroom's old location before and wasn't really impressed, but since this location is new, and it always looked packed, XO and I decided to give it a shot!Burgeroom offers

I've been to Burgeroom's old location before and wasn't really impressed, but since this location is new, and it always looked packed, XO and I decided to give it a shot!

Burgeroom offers outdoor seating, but since I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, we decided to sit inside.  Burgeroom is a self-service restaurant, so we had to order our food, find a table, and the staff will give us an order number sign and deliver the food to our table.

We were lucky and found a table for the two of us, so we didn't have to sit on bar stools.  My stubby short legs don't get along with bar stools!

After checking out the menu, I decided to get the Iced Pineapple Fruit Tea, the Classic Burger, and the Foie Gras on Green, and we decided to split the Melted Cheese Twister Fries.

 We set the order number sign on the table, and our drinks and food arrived shortly after!

 The Iced Pineapple Fruit Tea was a good balance of sweetness from the sugar and tartness from the pineapple.  I've only had drinks with pineapple juice before and never had iced itea with pineapple, but I really liked it!
Classic Burger

 I decided to go with the Classic Burger, so I could really taste the hamburger patty.  The hamburger was cooked medium rare, and it was really juicy.  I liked their homemade sauce; it had the right amount of acidity to cut through the fat from the burger.  I wasn't impressed by Burgeroom the last time, but this time, the burger was excellent!

 I love all sorts of fries, and you don't see curly fries a lot in Hong Kong unless McD's offers them as a special item.  So, we picked the Melted Cheese Twister Fries from the various fried potatoes offered.  The fries were a bit crunchier than I'd prefer, but the crunchiness prevented them from getting soggy from the melted cheese.  The melted cheese had a consistency closer to a cheese sauce, and it paired very well with the fries.  Since the cheese wasn't heavy gooey cheese, the fries weren't as filling, and the portion was just right for the 2 of us!  Yay to curly fries available year round in HK!
Foie Gras on Green

 Since this is a burger joint, I didn't have high hopes on their foie gras preparation, but they surprised me with the Foie Gras on Green.  The Foie Gras was seared perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.  The greens were fresh and crunchy, and the vinaigrette was very light and had a delightful soy flavor.

I'm glad I gave Burgeroom another shot.  This new location has better food quality, and I was pleasantly surprised!  I used to wonder why this place is always packed, and now, I know the answer!
