I have visited this small Cafe in Third Stree, Sai Ying Pun before, not long after they first opened. On my first visit to the cafe I wasn't overly impressed with the food that I had. I chose the breakfast and was dissapointed. The prices are quite low, but the service is very poor and the staff do not really have a vey pleasant attitude. Actually, this is not true, as I live nearby to this cafe and noticed that they only open around 11:00 am and prepare a basic menu for the local school student, then close not long after 3pm.
Today, I decided to give the "Great Bear" Cafe another chance and popped in at around 1:15 pm today.
It was very hot outsid, as as typhoon HATO was approaching. When I got into the restaurant there did not appear
to be any airconditioner running. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara to eat, but when I ordered drinks to go with my
meal, I was very dissapointed to find that they did not have any cold drinks available, they only served hot drinks
and told me they did not have any coke drinks available.
This cafe seems to be running on a "shoestring budget" the service is very poor, the food is not very nice and they do not seem to have any air conditioning.
When I found out they did no have any cold drinks available, I told them to cancel my order for carbonara and as I could not stand the heat inside I left the restaurant and decided to eat at home.
