Shortly after ordering our food, we are served with four pieces of mini-baguette on two plates with salted butter. The baguette tastes very good. It is perfectly baked with crispy skin and soft bread. We are then served with our drink "Raw Juice" which is a mixed juice of five types of fruits and vegetables including carrot and apple. It appears like carrot juice, but the taste of carrot is not strong. I will say it is more like apple juice and is refreshing. Three of us order "Salmon tartare" as starter. The beautifully presented salmon tartare is very appealing. The salt cod mousse on top adds extra salty flavour and creamy texture to the fresh salmon while the thin piece of pickled cucumber adds acidity. They altogether give a balanced taste and go very well with the baguette. My main course is "Pan-fried Barramundi" which is a kind of fish. The skin is perfectly fried to golden brown while the fillet is fresh, tender and juicy. It tastes even better with the grilled red pepper, capers and aubergine purée. The preserved lemon dressing and the rocket leaves further enhance the flavour. Other main courses ordered are "Duck leg confit with red cabbage, mash potato and pommery mustard sauce" and "Crispy pig belly, yuzu and honey glaze, creamed corn and roasted red onion". My friends all say they are very delicious. The dessert is also impressive. We all order the "Passion fruit cheesecake with fromage frais sorbet". The passion fruit seeds unexpectedly give very good garnish to the cake. The sour passion fruit jelly balances the sweetness of the cheesecake. The sorbet indeed is very refreshing. The menu is different from that of last time, but the food remains yummy and satisfactory. The waiters who serve us are very friendly and helpful. The environment is cozy but some people may say it is a bit noisy. I think St Betty is one of the best places for meals in IFC.
