Decided to come here for lunch as the first two other places I wanted to go to were closed on Monday! A few years ago I came here for dinner on a date. I thought the food was fairly decent so decided to try lunch. The place, located in Causeway Bay, is a rather darkly decorated place. They do have a very spacious al fresco deck area. The place, located in Causeway Bay, is a rather darkly decorated place. They do have a very spacious al fresco deck area. Lunch sets range from $85 - $145 (dependent on the choice of main) and include a soup or salad, coffee or tea and two oysters (either raw or fried). I chose the Boston clam chowder. Clam chowder did have a generous amount of clams and not too many potatoes. However, it wasn't very creamy and a bit on the watery side. I chose fresh oysters. I was given two different ones: Pacific and Saldanha. I was told to eat the Pacific ones first as it was more salty, followed by Saldanha which was more creamy. The oysters were pretty fresh. Not overly salty. Pretty good. I chose pizza bread with braised ox tongue, garlic and arugula. I had no idea what a pizza bread was so when it came, I realized they meant flat bread. Aside from that bit of wording problems, they gave me four slices of bread, a bowl of braised ox tongue, a bowl of arugula and minced uncooked garlic. I don't know what the point of adding raw garlic to all this. However, the bread was really good. Nice, soft and fragrant. The ox tongue was soft. However, the sauce was too one dimensional. It just tasted like tomato sauce. But over all, I liked it. Reasonable prices and decent food. The addition of two oysters to your meal makes it a pretty good deal. I'd return as a suitable lunch option.
