Have been a regular customer of il Bel Paese for more than 5 years, always love it until recently.I'm not sure if there's a new owner took over the business, but I just suddenly noticed a lot of differences compare with my last visit (2 months ago) and mostly are all negative:- They are charging 18HKD per person for STILL WATER! it is insane. It used to be free. And is feels just absurd to charge people for tap water. So if 5 person dine in they charge you 18*5 = 90 for still water, plus proport

I'm not sure if there's a new owner took over the business, but I just suddenly noticed a lot of differences compare with my last visit (2 months ago) and mostly are all negative:
- They are charging 18HKD per person for STILL WATER! it is insane. It used to be free. And is feels just absurd to charge people for tap water. So if 5 person dine in they charge you 18*5 = 90 for still water, plus proportional service fee.
- Rib eye beef steak becomes smaller. 300 gram now compare with 450 gram in the past.
- Pre-dinner bread is 50% less.
- The quality of tomato being used in salad is bad.
In a nutshell, the value of meal has dropped sharply, I'm not sure what the restaurant is thinking. Maybe they are just trying to figure way out to counter inflation. But I feel it is going too crazy on cutting food proportion or making money from just water.
