If anyone has walked through Causeway Bay, you'll come across 老虎堂 (English name: Tiger Sugar) and the long endless queues. One of the most popular milk tea places in Taipei, it opened up shop in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay and madness arrived! People queued for approximately an hour for this place. But me? I'm too lazy to queue up outside for that length of time. But I walk by that area almost every day to see how short the queue will be. And finally? I came here one evening around 9 PM and there

Menu is in English and Chinese. It's takeaway so don't expect any 10% service charge. There most popular item is the brown sugar boba milk with cream mousse. They have other teas but honestly ... everyone only orders this drink. You can choose regular size boba or small ones (which they call pearl).
I ordered this: the brown sugar boba + pearl with cream mousse ($30). I was greedy. I wanted two types of boba. But after I took a sip, I realized I should have just stuck to the regular size ones. The pearl ones were too small to enjoy. But it was pretty good. A nice heavy milk taste that felt extremely creamy. The sugar content was ok. Not too sweet but just the right amount. The boba was chewy and soft but not sweet at all. Didn't really taste any tea as the milk seemed to cover it all up.
Pretty delicious. I would come again if there is the line is short. If it's long? Not worth my time. But good none the less. Service was nice too as they still stopped to explain the menu despite being extremely busy.
