Ramato is the newest Italian restaurant replaced the then 208 Duecento Otto, also helmed by the same group @jiagroup
Becoz of the name JIA, I believe this restaurant should be guaranteed to be not bad..

What we ordered:
-Mixed cold cuts & fried dough
-Warm octopus salad
-Sautéed clams
-Amberjack Cappaccio
- homemade ricotta & spinach ravioli
- homemade pappardelle pork & eggplant ragu
- baked while seabass
- grilled M5 Australian wagyu Ribeye
- Tiramisu
- vanilla Panna cotta
- mash potatoes
- broccolini
- cauliflower

I quite like the homemade pasta, especially the pappardelle, the clams and the carpaccio from the starters were pretty good too.. the portions were a little bit small tho..
Was a little let down by the seabass, I think it was slightly overcooked, the texture was a bit tough, personally won’t recommend this, the steak was cooked perfectly tho.

Overall, I think the food quality is basically up to standard, nothing extremely amazing and memorable, portion was a bit small… but I think is still acceptable given the location and ambiance of the place , price was reasonable .. don’t have much complains about the food, but they sure have room to improve for their service, the staffs kept rushing to collect our plates and glasses without asking if we were still working on it.. we haven’t finish some of the dishes and wine.. it was a bit odd.. I honestly don’t know what they were rushing for.. it was the first Friday night allowing to open till midnight.. and the staffs were not too friendly and attentive as a JIA group restaurant.. I do expect more from them..
other than that, I still consider this is a decent Italian trattoria which is great for big group gatherings and celebration..
