According to boyfriend, this is the most popular Japanese restauran in his neighbourhood. There are always diners there at all times of the day. But from all the years he's lived here, he's never eaten there. So, I was curious. We should give it a try, I said.We noticed they had afternoon tea sets so we went during that time. Menu is in Chinese only except the drinks menu which has English and Chinese. The sets all come with a standard drink with possible upgrades. You order by QR code ordering
We noticed they had afternoon tea sets so we went during that time. Menu is in Chinese only except the drinks menu which has English and Chinese. The sets all come with a standard drink with possible upgrades. You order by QR code ordering and pay on your way out. I had the Assorted Sushi Donburi ($51). As it was a tea set item, the size was smaller than usual but it was definitely perfect amount for me as I don't as much rice. The sashimi was fresh. There was salmon, octopus, hamachi, flying fish roe and egg.
Boyfriend had the Assorted Sush Donburi with Spicy Sauce ($51). This only had salmon, egg and lots of spring onion. It wasn't as spicy as expected as well. Boyfriend felt portion was a bit small so if you have bigger stomaches, it might not be enough for you.
Sushi was fresh and the price was fair as it also came with a drink. Lots of choices to choose from. I can understand why it's always so popular as it's good value for money.
