STAY AWAY!!! Previosuly i've been to the Spice Market for their Tea Buffet - which was excellent.. 1) The Wagyu beef was the drawcard for the night - yet it was served in small portions - this was expected in a buffet, however the quality of the beef was very poor - probably poor Australian grade wagyu....
They were in tiny cubes - which had no texture. The outside was cooked and the inside was medium to rare. This is what its supposed to be like - yet it tasted like rubber and there was no wagyu beef taste at all...... Very disappointing considering this was the main selling point for the buffet. .....
Suggestion is that they limit the amount availble - but choose to serve a slightly bigger and better grade portion - say 50-100gms for each person.
2) Congee was burnt - probably too rushed.....
3) The range of food on the supper menu is generally poor. No exceptional dishes to recommend or to even talk about. Hot dishes were not interesting and the deserts were just ordinary
4) Sashimi Salmon was always snatched up..... please only take what you can finish!!! If not please leave some to others!!!!!
The oysters were ok - but always a mad scramble to snatch the best..... thats HK though......
The small highlight if any was the danishes which are availble and have always been of a nice quality and the Hageen Dazs ice cream with the waffle.
My recommendation is that you skip this Supper Buffet and recommend that you try the Tea buffet instead!!!
