I went with two other friends during lunch time on a weekday. The number of diners was just right – enough to find a seat but also popular enough to feel accompanied.I learnt that Boomshack is famous for its Chicken Waffle, but it turned out disappointing. The kind of waffle it used was not the Belgian style (more crispy), it’s more to the Greek type – soft but not chewy. The sauce was quite good match with both the waffle and chicken. But since I was looking a lot to the texture, this dish is certainly not the type of Chicken Waffle I would be going back for (I may prefer the ones in Wired Cafe in Mira, for example). Still worth a try!
There is lunch special with a choice of snacks and soft drinks. Beet Fries was special. It tasted a bit like potatoes but less heavy. As beetroot is one of the must-choose ingredients in my usual lunch salad boxes, I like this option. It also goes well with the mayo.
Overall, it is an ok option to chill out with good friends in Central. But as lunch and dinner options, notwithstanding how devil the food is, the portion may be too small for guys.
