一年一度的日式放題就是為蝦子餅慶祝生日,窩夫與蝦子餅首次光顧旺角雅蘭中心的「極尚大喜屋」,感覺比去年光顧那間好。因為口渴,一入座便去取飲品,有窩夫愛喝的白桃烏龍,也有蝦子餅愛喝的桔仔青檸水,還有酒精飲品和汽水等。自助區有多款海鮮和小食,最吸引窩夫與蝦子餅的是菜乾豬肺湯,真材實料,十分好喝。第一輪的刺身氣勢十足,亦很有水準,三文魚刺身切得厚厚的,非常肥美。必點的海膽軍艦。鹽燒牛舌也是窩夫與蝦子餅必點的,燒得不錯。鹽燒雞翼的火候控制得不錯,雞皮燒得香脆,雞肉不會太乾。「極尚大喜屋」的中式美食很有驚喜,金湯慢煮鮑魚花膠盛做得出色,鮑魚和花膠夠腍夠入味,冬菇超厚,沒有漿糊般的獻汁。金蒜蓉粉絲蒸扇貝比燒蠔更惹味。鐵板蜜椒薯仔牛柳粒拍得住大牌檔的水準。除了中式,還有葡式和韓式美食。葡式煮蜆份量不少,隻隻都脹卜卜的,鮮味十足。甜品方面,點了椰皇燕窩燉蛋白,椰皇味夠香,蛋白嫩滑,不會太甜。壓軸的雪糕取了H牌的夏威夷果仁味、M牌的雲呢拿味和本地品牌的益力多味。
