Visited this restaurant in time to order its tea set menu. However, I did have to wait for around 20 minutes for a table. It’s tea set offers a range of sandwiches and burgers - all which comes with a serving of fries.I decided to order its beef burger which comes with cheese and bacon. The set also includes a drink - so I tried their homemade lemon tea. The burger was delicious - the beef patty was nice and moist. While the crispy bacon provided the burger with a different texture and flavour.
I decided to order its beef burger which comes with cheese and bacon. The set also includes a drink - so I tried their homemade lemon tea. The burger was delicious - the beef patty was nice and moist. While the crispy bacon provided the burger with a different texture and flavour. The fries (or chips as we call it in Australia) were coated with a hint of chili powder which was enough to seasoned the potatoes, but not enough to feel the heat. The homemade lemon tea was very refreshing and it managed to strike a good balance between sweetness of the syrup and the sourness of the lemon. All the items on the tea set menu costs $55, which I think is great considering the quality of the food and the portions. Despite a full stomach, we could not resist the sweet temptation so we ordered the strawberry cheesecake.
The decor provided a nice environment for catch ups - relaxing and quite spacious. The service was quite good - we sat for a long time and no one came to rush us to get the bill.
This restaurant has become one of my favourites - for lunch, tea or dinner. The food that it offers is (as the name implies) simple but delicious and the prices are very reasonable. There is a bit of a wait for a table (depending what time you arrive), but it is a small price to pay in exchange for a satisfying experience.
