Macau honored Curry Restaurant Since 1947 Arrives in Town
For those who can't make it to Macau, the opportunity to savor authentic local flavors has now come to you. “Tip Kei Curry”, a 77-year restaurant in Macau, has recently opened its branch in Hong Kong. While preserving their time-honored family recipes and signature dishes, they have also designed a Hong Kong limited special menu, allowing you to indulge in the vibrant tastes of Macau without having to cross the border.

“Tip Kei Curry” first opened in 1947, with the founding couple peddling their Curry Beef Brisket from a humble street-side stall. By the 1960s, they had upgraded to a wooden pushcart setup before establishing their flagship location along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro in Macau. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Tip Kei's culinary legacy continues to thrive. The current proprietor, forgoing the comforts of a high-paying pilot's job, took the reins of the family business to ensure the flavors painstakingly developed over decades would live on.

When dining at Tip Kei, two items are absolute musts - Freshly Stir-fried Curry and Traditional Chewy Noodles. As for the noodles, they are known as “rubber band noodles” - a traditional Macanese noodle that the older generation in Macau often eat. It's named for springy and chewy texture, which is quite rare to find in the local dining scene.
