I had dinner with 2 friends there last night. I picked it because I had once been to the one at TST and food there was quite nice in general. Nevertheless, when I flipped over the menu of this one, I was in fact surprised to see that prices were all seemed to be doubled up when comparing with the TST shop. Cocktail/mocktail, for instance, was priced at more than $60. Some main courses were even close to $300 each.
While there were not many varieties to choose among from the menu, we finally ordered a caesar salad, a seafood linguine, a pork chop and a tiramisu. In spite of a relatively high price range, portion of the dishes was rather small. Among them, seafood linguine was the most disappointing. In spite of being priced at $138, its size was like half-order. Even worse, it was flavourless where I seriously doubted if there was any seasoning at all. Caesar salad, of a half-order size but a full-order price as well, was also too salty. Fortunately, pork chop and tiramisu were comparatively ok that we did not have to end up as if we did not have anything for dinner.
As for drinks, they were simply over-priced. More disappointingly, the restaurant did not provide free water.
Turning to service, it was in general ok, but not quite up to the standard that one would expect from a restaurant charging this price range. Ambience was also not as comfortable as I once imagined. Tables were quite close to one another that it was just a bit too noisy for one to sit and chat relaxingly with friends.
Honestly, I probably would not visit it again or recommend it to any of my friends. Given such a price range, I do believe that there are simply too many other better restaurants for one to choose.
