South African (HKD36 each), Fine de Claire (HKD46 each), White Pearl (HKD48 each) 同埋Gillardeau (HKD55 each). 4隻都非常新鮮.

Second time here 2 of my friends and I ordered a cold cut platter, 2 meats and a pasta. We didnt order any alcoholic drinks and the cute waiter seemed a little disappointed. The pasta was a little bland but the meats were great. I would suggest the beef for sharing as it was a little bit fatty.

French Bouchot Mussels ($228)
These little mussels were dense and meaty, and the white wine cream sauce was so good we ended up finishing two baskets of bread! The portion is also quite generous, even for a group of three.

Pan-seared Scallop Salad ($298)
The salad was dresed in a honey-sweetened sauce and drizzled over with reduced balasamic vinegar, which was more sweet than tart. The scallops were well-executed, cooked till just done. Yum!

Welsh Lamb Rack ($226)
Done medium rare, the centre was juicy and still seeping with meaty juices; the outside was seared and crusted lightly with pepper and rosemary. Only good things to say about this.

Australian Grain Fed Pork Grilled with Blue Cheese ($328)
One of the best dishes in Fridge in the opinion of all of us that night! The pork was tender, juicy and succulent, and likely brushed with some honey after searing that gave it an extra hint of sweetness. The blue cheese crust was surprisingly mild and complemented the meat well. The portion was also quite large, we were all simply too stuffed after to even try dessert!

Cosy small group gatherings with friends
Other Info. : My friend noted that the last time she went it was just a small place that held up to 10 people. They've expanded to near doors since, and will probably look a little different again in the next couple of months.

the night started with a bread basket and a parma ham / cheese platter. bread was good - very doughy and baked to perfection. the ham was above standard, yet their variety of cheese was awesome. good nibblies which we continued asking for after the whole meal. the sparkling was crisp, not too sweet yet not cold enough.

oysters for the night include Gillardeaus, Scottish Rock, Fine De Claire, and one South African one i cant remember the name. all were freshly shucked, sizable and plum. was super generous with the serving, we stopped asking and they still came.
we had like 10 platters....

their house white was from new zealand i think - good choice, a happy marriage with the oyster varieties.

mains we ordered include a french spring chicken and aussy sirloin. all i remember was that the chicken was very tender... and that both mains were cooked very well. i remember seeing a petit girl doing the cooking, which quite amused me as i always thought that it would be a guy standing there getting soaked with sweat. respect. we brought our own red so didnt try their reds, but from previous visiting comments i reckon it would be enjoyable too.

desserts... not much memory of it <since we were already pretty drunk> but i do recall exclamations of appreciation.

overall, a very posh little place with excellent food and ambiance. good value for money too. service was warm n pleasant. not too sure whether they always do the indulgment package so better ask before you go.

Fridge is one of those hidden gems in the Hong Kong's restaurant landscape, a small little space tucked away on Peel Street, Central that may be a little difficult to find if it's your first visit. I have been introduced to Fridge by a friend and has fallen in love with it since my first visit. The restaurant is quite small (if you book out the whole restaurant, it could seat up to around 12 people), because seats are so limited, it's better that you call and make a reservations before going in case they have a private party (which is quite often the case!). They also have a small patio with 1 table which I think the best table for a small party of 4-5 people if the weather is good, super chill and relax! There's no fancy decorations or interior designs apart from a wall to wall shelves lined with wine/champagne...but once you're seated you'll see that the owner's focus is obviously not on making an impression with the glitz and glam but with its fantastic food and service. So whatever it lacks in fancy designs is more than made up by its down-to-earth and home-y atmosphere as well as its friendly and attentive staff!

Fridge specialized in oysters (on half shells served fresh) and they offers a great selection of oysters throughout the year based on whatever is in season - Gillardeaus, Pinky, Irish Rock, Fine De Claire, Belon...... and they are ALWAYS fresh and tasty! Oyster lovers would agree that such consistency in quality is probably the most important for any oyster restaurants! There is of course a good selection of white wine, and while I'm no wine expert, I tend to get recommendations from their staff who is always helpful with picking a wine of our choice. Apart from oysters, they also offer a small menu consisting of 1-2 options of appetizers, soup, pasta, meat dish, and dessert and they are also impressively delicious! Their steak and lamb chop is nicely done but it is the Pasta Alioli that has become an all-time favourite! Perfectly seasoned with a perfect kick, it is a must-try! Portion is quite generous as well so if you've had a few oysters to start, you may choose to share the pasta with a friend so you can leave room for desserts! It is extremely rare that any restaurant could hit the right notes from starters to desserts and Fridge has a kitchen that seems to know how to do it all!

As you can tell, i only have great things to say about this restaurant as it has certainly become a personal favourite. My only complaint would be that it can sometimes be difficult to get a booking as there are only limited tables....but I guess its small intimate setting is one of Fridge's biggest charm!

Corkage is low - only HKD100 so BYO is a great option. Otherwise there is a big selection of wine available at very reasonable prices. The menu is limited so best to ask when you book the table & if possible choose already what you want to eat.

I started with oysters - there is usually a selection of 6 or so different kinds. This time, the Scottish Rock were the largest I have ever seen & very tasty. My friend had pan fried foie gras which she polished off happily.

After that we shared a salad, some lovely juicy scallops and absolutely delicious Alaskan crab claws.

We finished up with a piece of steak which, I have to say, was quite disappointing. It was too chewy & not as good as I have had on previous occasions. Also, a suggestion for the steak plate: warm the plate please - it helps keep the food hot.

Service is great and there is more staff and a proper kitchen (than Tin Hau) which speeds up matters greatly.
