近來疫情嚴重都甚少外出吃飯,而大排檔這類衛生相對較差的餐廳就更加可免則免,無意中發現這間位於油麻地與旺角交界的喜記路邊雞,門面感覺比較乾淨企理而且網上評價不錯。一般大排檔及酒樓的小菜和海鮮都應有盡有,而路邊雞似乎更是店方招牌,部分小菜如椒鹽魷魚鬚及豆腐等只需數十元,我倆點了數款小菜及白飯人均只要二百多元,價錢相當合理親民。招牌路邊雞 ($128)雖不算相當厚肉肥美,但肉質軟嫩之餘雞皮爽滑。椒鹽一口豆腐 ($48)保持嫩滑,鹹香惹味,份量更是超乎預期地多。椒鹽魷魚鬚 ($58)同樣炸漿不會過厚,酥脆可口亦不會炸得過火令外皮焦硬。薑蔥胡椒魚卜 ($108)爽脆嫩滑,香濃惹味毫不帶腥。鹵水鵝掌翼 ($58)鵝掌翼皮嫩入味。醒胃酸薑皮蛋 ($38)用上溏心皮蛋,簡單開胃。蒜泥手拍青瓜 ($38)酸甜爽脆,作為前菜相當清爽。

這間喜記路邊雞未到七點已經要等位了,幸好一早已訂位了。環境比一般大排檔乾淨企理。路邊雞不單只食雞,主打廣東小菜,有的更是 功夫菜,另有新鮮海鮮提供。倆口子,點了一個水東芥菜滑雞花蛤煲,份量都頗大,新鮮花蛤夠鮮甜,滑雞烹調時間剛好,沒有變成老雞,芥菜爽脆無渣,甘味中又帶點甜。孜然骨,一上枱已經聞到很濃的孜然味道,一粒粒排骨炸得金黃香脆,肉質仍然爽脆,還有大量炸蒜舖面,十分惹味,送酒一流。另外點了一個XO醬芥蘭炒魚鬆,味道比較濃味,芥蘭炒得脆綠,但如果可以將花摘走就更好,單食魚鬆會覺得比較咸一點,但送飯食就剛好了。
