I don't usually write reviews on restaurant because it is extremely hard to have a restaurant impress me to this extend. I am not saying this restaurant is perfect and it deseves some kind of michelin star award or whatsoever(to me michelin star restaurant is not very convincing). Anyway, I was reading a vacation magazine last week with my colleagues and its just happened that this issue features some of the new and best seafood restaurant in town. We are all seafood lovers and usually don't have the time to travel to renowned places like Sai Kung and Lamma Island. And this restaurant is somehow pretty close to our office and so we decided to give it a try. Anyway, lets talk a bit about the food. We had a 8 courses pre-set menu by the owner and it cost us $600 per person including 2 bottles of red wine (9 pax total). The dinner started off with a dish of honey glazed walnut and a pan fried beef, these 2 dishes go well with the red wine. After the starters, we had a very nice jumbo shrimp sashimi, this is probably the best shrimp sashimi that I ever had in my life. After that, they served us with a pig-lung soup which I didn't drink(I do not like chinese soup, seems like they use weird ingredients to cook it). But my colleagues loved it and they finished my share. After the soup, we had a big steam fish and steam crab with chinese wine sauce. The steam fish and the steam crab tasted awesome, my colleagues told me it cost at least double or triple if we ordered this kind of fish at the restaurant where we usually go for lunch(we worked at the ICC), and the quality might not be as good. After the above dishes, we were already full, and the dinner wrapped up with 2 dishes of vegatables and a chinese desert. The owner of the restaurant is an expert in seafood, he told us what kind of fish is good for which season and he promised he will prepare something totally different for our next visit. I look forward to go back again and see what he is going to surprise me.
