中環實在太多餐廳, 今日終於輪到試這間已經開左一段時間既 linguini fini, 前身係食音樂雞蛋既位置, 我估都係西餐 中環OL 岩口胃多d, 所以結果這個舖位都係開返西餐廳。由於一早訂左位, 所以12:30 去到都唔需要等位, 餐廳有d 似舊式鬼佬餐廳, 都幾得意。 Lunch set 分為 $98 2 course 同 $198 3 course, 價錢都相差幾遠, $98 係只有starter (soup / salad) , main 係 (pasta) 仲要係得幾款選擇, 而 $198 係 所有 starter/ main / dessrt 都可以由 menu 入面 任簡。 只要你所有都簡最貴既, 其實都回到本 。 今次我同同事試左 3 courses.starter 係 生牛肉salad 同 ;凱撒salad main 係 牛菌菇粗意粉 同 牛面肉 , pasta 冇咩味, 牛面肉就幾好食, 不過唔係勁正最精彩既反而係甜品, 朱古力汁配雪糕仲有d 餅, 朱古力醬唔算好甜, 好似飲朱古力奶咁, 但果d 餅就有小小硬身, 但感覺幾得意 朋友叫左 strawb

朱古力汁配雪糕仲有d 餅, 朱古力醬唔算好甜, 好似飲朱古力奶咁, 但果d 餅就有小小硬身, 但感覺幾得意

不知道爲什麽,我們沒有意識上一樓餐廳,而直接入了燈光較暗的地下酒吧區進食,幸好相機很聽話,相片還算清晰。

酒吧區的佈置很隨意,牆上貼了一些特別圖案(但我找不出代表意大利的靴子圖案),寫上部分推介菜式,很配合酒吧的風格。餐桌都是鐡/木製造的,相比一般金碧輝煌的意大利餐廳,做出截然不同的氣息。另外是日的客人,除了我們,都是外國食客,猶如置身很鄉土情懷的外國酒吧。

是日午餐提供Set Lunch Menu和a la carte.。其實來之前,心中已經有想吃的,包括Trippa Al Forno和Caprese。不過,知道母親怕“囌”味,而且後者兩個人吃了主菜就吃不下了,所以沒有叫。而Set Lunch有兩款,兩道菜和三道菜。

兩道菜(HK$98)包括Entree (Caesar Salad/Tuscan Onion Soup/ Roasted Tomato Bruschetta),Main Course (Any signature Linguini Fini/ Slow-cooked pork shoulder);三道菜(HK$198)自由度較大,包括Choice of any antipasti,Choice of any pasta/secondi and Choice of any dessert。

下午茶的時段快到,不敢叫三道菜,所以,幾經辛苦,最終十分保險地叫了兩份兩道菜套餐,主菜均選了這裡的招牌菜 --- Linguini Fini。

待我們點菜後,麵包才送來。一看見麵包上的盛載麵包的芝麻,便讓我樂了。可惜,麵包是極微溫。不過,麵包挺有麥香,質感也煙韌(個人喜歡煙韌,富口感的食物),麵包皮較硬,而且有芝麻香。剔除溫度問題,我覺得它是不錯的。另外我請店員拿Balsamic vinegar,讓我可以拌麵包吃,感覺更好。我也點了桌上的Olive oil,橄欖油味道挺純厚。

麵包罐子很有趣,本應是放Anchovies的,現在循環再用,符合餐廳的隨意格調之餘,亦可保護環境。

Caesar Salad:以Entree來看,分量挺多的。標榜用了本地有機西生菜,吃下去新鮮爽口,dressing分量適中,每塊葉均能沾上,加上即刨Parmesan cheese,每一口充滿芝士香。Croutons脆口,有牛油香,不錯。而面層唯一一小條的Anchovy被我母親吃了,不知道味道如何,只看到她被突然的鹹味嗆住。

切下去,我呆了。軟腍腍的。多士不是脆的嗎?明明看見麵包上有誘人的烤紋,應該是又熱又脆才對。就當是上面的番茄汁和濕潤的Ricotta cheese造成吧。Ricotta與mozzarella一樣,芝士味十分溫和(那是因爲Ricotta 根本是mozzarella 的by-product。),充滿奶香,只是如cottage cheese 一樣稀,不幼滑。我還是喜歡用buffalo mozzarella/tomino的多士,貪它多一份幼滑和“拉絲”感覺。番茄鮮甜帶點天然微酸,十分多汁。本應是好的,但配合這個也是水分多的Ricotta,腍腍的麵包,不是味兒。幸好,Pesto sauce的味道雖不重,但增添了油潤感,將兩者水汪汪的材料融合,救回它們。麵包用的是剛才送來的芝麻麵包,也是那一句,脆口會好吃很多。下面沾了橄欖油的火箭菜,新鮮不老,微辣。如果多士與它一樣好,就好了。

Salt cured egg genovese linguini:真想不到被外國某研究批評為全球最噁心食物的中國鹹蛋會出現在此餐館内。這樣的配搭,倒要試試會有什麽效果。麵條是餐廳每天新鮮自家製,煮得剛好,雖未至於麵條中心生硬,但仍是al dente,蛋味濃郁。每一根麵條均掛上香草汁,脂潤而充滿濃烈橄欖油香。(我認爲的)主角 --- 鹹蛋,只是磨碎了,鋪在麵條上面,分量不多,所以應有的鹹香味很淡,被橄欖香味的搶去了。番茄仔紅紅黃黃,色彩鮮豔,一咬即爆汁,好吃。雖然對鹹蛋有點失望,但可能因爲合我口味,我挺喜歡這道菜。大家看到麵條下有一層薄薄的橄欖油,或許會認爲廚師下橄欖油太慷慨,弄得太油膩,但我覺得,在一個待橄欖油如寳的國家,意大利人下橄欖油,是一種喜好吧,這只是我們文化上的差別。

麵條與前者的一樣,而且煮了更短時間,中心有點硬度,更適合愛口感的我。而味道完全是跟上面的走不同的路綫。魔鬼,顧名思義,這道菜是辣的。除了醬汁,内裏(應該是自家腌)的辣椒亦貢獻了撲鼻的香辣。雖然(我覺得)辛度不夠,未到魔鬼程度,但又酸又辣,很是滋味。至於蝦乾醬,連香味都感覺不到,讓人失望。爲什麽前者的鹹蛋分量不多,現在的蝦醬味道又是這麽淡呢?會不會廚師擔心客人吃不慣?我倒希望試試這些奇特的配搭。母親不勝其辣度,擧白棋,讓了給我;幸運的是,我愛吃辣,反正除了蝦醬味淡以外,其他都十分滿意,還是清掉了。

可能以上食物膩了點,飽腹感很大,不想撐下去,所以沒有叫甜品。餐後飲品分別叫了熱檸水regular black coffee (latte不包括套餐内)。

Regular black coffee:咖啡標榜是La Colombe。我不懂咖啡,但看到crema在咖啡表面,覺得應該不錯。喝下口,挺香的,但好像比其他的來得淡口,而且較稀。那是因爲我習慣了喝latte那種豐盈的感覺。店員有提供奶泡的,但是冷的,沒有加進咖啡裏。

坐在酒吧桌對面的沙發位,一直看到那裏放了多款pastries,大多是housemade pound cakes和scones,很想試試看,如今,這些特別飽肚的蛋糕,還是等下次才吃吧。

看著她俏皮的伸脷招牌,回想剛才的linguini,心裏也忍不住伸脷,下次必定會試試其他的招牌菜,不過再也不會俏皮地穿著畢業袍來吃飯。(其他客人看見我都報以奇怪的眼光...)

The atmosphere is busy and charming. The staff is warm. They have been trained to be nice, polite and smiling.But....the food was bad. the pasta and steak too salty. The pasta is cooked american way, not al dente but that's ok.The Tiramisu was absolutely tasteless and even the pinot noir wine we choose was not great.and we end up paying 800 HKD for 2 for that (they must be paying a hefty rent)

Fettucine Funghi
午餐set lunch吃過linguini,這次選其他的,這裡沒有我最喜歡的Lasagne,退而求其次,點了Fettucine Funghi。其實我喜歡吃Fettucine多過linguini, Mushroom又是我所愛,很期待呢!可惜,有小小的失望。Fettucine有些煮過頭,太軟爛,不夠咬勁。剛端上來已經粘在一起,撈起來拌勻都不容易,用力點又會碎掉。Mushroom沒問題,調味也不錯,但olive oil落太多,整盤意粉很油膩,吃完后碟上都是油亮亮的。Radicchio感覺比較少,多一些或許能平衡一下先前提到的油膩。Castelmagno看上去似乎不少,但吃起來芝士香味不明顯,味道欠缺了一些。

On Top of Spaghetti:
朋友的選擇。我對meatball比較抗拒,所以還未吃過,但身邊朋友不止一個都覺得好吃,這次也是,看來大塊肉真的能給人打快朵頤的快感,特別是男生,呵呵!

總的來說,並非樣樣都好,選擇仍需慎重,好在朋友點的食物不錯,我也算盡到地主之夷了。此外,難得過來吃晚餐,最後買單發現cold water一樽48,不設加一是不錯,這個still water下手倒也不輕啊!

got arrived around 120pm and luckily get table right away.Set lunch $98 includesbread (fresh baked, warm, well fit to olive oil and vinegar), starter (itlian soup- family flavor), main course (baked pasta full of cheese, heavy but good taste). Coffee- italian style (very strong espresso). No service charge but with good service. Will definitely come again.

利口的酒餚炸豬腦,沒有用疏打粉醃製,某程度上較老酒家的豬肉天然;炸得香脆而豬腦沒有半條筋絲,處理很花功夫,口說罪過罪過,但心裡卻是多所益善,唉,人真是犯賤生物,看著「膽固醇萬歲」之物就變得非理性起來,竟貪吃了一整件?!冷靜過來,囑勸諸君偶爾為之,不天天吃便不怕懷腸胃。

我期待的經典味道有機番茄醬細扁長條意粉來了,橙紅色的有機番茄醬夾雜幾片綠色的羅勒葉,我用叉子繞一口嚐嚐,發覺口感奇特,一般扁長的 linguini 口感是滑的,但這個我要用爽來形容,細看下,原來是方形的,四邊的稜角增加了爽的口感,若以方形的 angel hair 來形容這物質會較貼切,但linguini,我較喜歡我常吃扁圓的,而有機番茄醬味道除了酸味外,還嚐到一種鴨蛋似的味,怪怪的,不算難吃,但真心說:我絕不享受。

Since italian food is one of K's favourite cuisine, I had to bring him here to try it out. We made a reservation the day before and as promptly shown to our table when we reached. The restaurant takes up two floors, with the bar situated on ground. There was a DJ spinning music in the bar, making the atmosphere suitable for after work drinks and casual friends gathering. The booth seats available looked cosy too. The tables on the restaurant floor were quite close together (as are many restaurants in HK) and rather small. It seemed as though the owner was trying to fit in as many table as possible. K and I scanned through the menu and quickly decided on the Picante pizza and meatball spaghetti. I added an appetizer of baked tripe as well. The drinks and wine list looked extensive but we don't really drink, so did not bother to look through it.

The baked tripe at LF was unlike the one I had before. The slice tripe were baked in tomato sauce and topped with lots of mozzarella. Although the portion wasn't big, it was still rather filling. The Picante pizza was really good. I loved the spicy sausages topping the pizza as they were really flavorful, going well with the anchovies and olives. LF's version of meatball spaghetti consist of a giant meatball sitting on top of a bed of just cooked spaghetti. In fact, I felt that the spaghetti could have been cooked a couple of minutes longer. Then again, it is yet to be determined if LF prefers their pasta a little on the hard side or it was just my plate that night. The tomato sauce was good and tasted very fresh. It is interesting that they presented it as one giant meatball instead of several small ones. The meatball was well done, filled will lots of herbs and seasoning. K quickly devoured the whole lot. We only managed to finished half the pizza (there were 8 slices) and decided to doggy bag the remaining home for lunch the next day.

Too full for dessert, we will definitely be back the next time for their fantastic looking brunch menu. With a large selection of pizza, pasta and other mains, at such decent prices, LF is giving places like Piccolo a run for its money. Although Piccolo is a more chill out place, I wouldn't mind heading to the vibrant LF for its Picante again, anytime.

We ordered as below:

Ceasar salad and 8 hours Tripe. The vegetables used was very fresh and the Ceasar sauce was very mild in taste, we can enjoy the freshness. The 8 hours Tripe was very hot from the oven. The tripes was very tender with other ingredients, I even don't think they had some pork. It was very tasty and goes well with some bread, but the bread was cool and very hard.

We order a Italian pizza (I forgot the name). The filling was cheese and herbs. It was light and great for share.

A classic linguini which was in small portion and salty but al dente.

At the last, we finished our meal with something sweet. We ordered Tiramisu and cinnamon gelato for share. The Tiramisu presented not as usual in other restaurant, but the ice-cream on top was nice with this dessert. The cinnamon gelato was not too sweet and I like this flavour. I think it was a homemade gelato.

The pace of service was fine at first, but later we think there were someone waiting for our table and the staff intended to push us to finished our meal asap. They even send us the bill quickly after they clear up our table. Finally, we still tips for good food but not the service.
