I was taking two children to watch Paddington and they took me to mango tree for lunch before watching the movie. I guess they have children’s favourite menu, one ordered the pineapple fried rice and the other ordered the baked pork chop rice. The pineapple fired rice looked good, in the beginning I thought they will serve it in a pineapple but to my disappointment they only served it on a plate. The baked pork chop rice smelled good, it also had raisin in the fried rice as well. It is actually a perfect dish for children as they like the tomato sauce and cheese. The pork chop was a bit hard for the children to bite.

My green curry chicken was good although it was a bit spicy, the flavour was spot on. It was creamy but thick in texture. There were lots of chicken and they were quite smooth.

Recently,I often went to yoho mall for dinner. I just had iron plate lunch at IKI two days ago and came to Mango Tree Cafe that night. This is my second visit. Thenumber of restaurants has nearly doubled since the dot-shape expansion to the third phase, but many new restaurants are familiar faces such as Aonang Beef Noodle, Outback, Pizza Express, Cafe Habitu .....  stand out from the crowd and become worthy of attention back to the restaurant.

Two types of first dish are the fry pepper salt fried squid rings and hot and sour pork lettuce bag. Enjoy the
citronella salt and pepper fried squid rings ($ 88). The squid rings are very fresh, wrapped in thin, deep-fried and crispy tender noodles.

Hot and sour zabagyu lettuce bag ($ 88) are also pleasantly surprised, meat mixed with grilled meat rich flavor, then add red onions, peppers, garlic, spicy taste is not low to eat very exciting, strong Thai spices

近日天氣開始轉涼,餐廳推出多款泰式煲仔正合時宜。餐廳現正慶祝一周年,所有泰式煲仔系列半價,試了「馬拉盞雞煲」、「森巴牛仔骨煲」、「金不換青胡椒蜆煲」和「魚露蝦乾芥蘭煲」,四款熱騰騰的煲仔,味道濃郁,熱力四射,吃得人渾身溫暖。當中又以肉質嫩滑,味道甚佳的森巴牛仔骨讓我最為喜歡,也吃得最多。

Lemon Tree的強項之一,是它的泰式甜品。這晚所吃的「泰茶拉米蘇」,以泰式奶茶雪糕配以 Tiramisu,雪糕奶味香濃,茶味雖稍大半被掩蓋,仍然好味,Tiramisu亦有相當水準,能夠令人滿意。「芒果糯米飯」用的是靚芒果,新鮮清甜,一點也不酸,黑糯米雪糕與白糯米兩相配合,也讓這甜品的口感更加豐富。

來到冬季,對烤鴨是情有獨鍾,連見到 荔枝烤鴨薄餅 ($148) 也不願錯過!這新出的 fusion pizza 非常有吃烤鴨卷感覺,分別只是餅皮較厚更鬆軟,同時又巧妙加進荔枝以作清新平衡。在這降溫的今天,想起又流口水了!

最後是周三半價的 金不換青胡椒蜆煲 ($108 / $54),是心理作用嗎?覺得意粉中的蜆較大隻好味,不過這裡除了金不換又多了胡椒香氣,是另一種惹味與吸引。

本來都吃得相當滿意開心,但來到這 芝士大頭蝦焗伊麵 ($168),我差一點哭了... 因為昔日最愛的冬蔭公口味,已改為咖哩味;雖然其實仍然很美味、至少值80分,夠讓首訪的朋友感到驚艷,但還是非常懷念回憶中100分的美味啊!

唯有加倍吃甜品宣洩心裡的痛!從來喜歡這裡的 泰茶拉米蘇 Thai-tea-ramisu ($58),除了底層 Tiramisu 香軟滑溜而不膩,重點是面層的泰式奶茶雪糕啊!8人分享兩份不過份吧~
