新年年初三在旺角凍凍地,便到了這裡打邊爐,進去,問了價錢便等位,等的時間不算久,大概10-15分鐘便可以上去了,一坐下,便火速叫了皮蛋鹽茜馬蹄湯底,才慢慢叫配料,叫了配料後,湯底送上,到了湯底滾的時候,配料還沒有到,那我們是望住爐幹什麼過了一會,配料終於送到,有數樣叫了沒有來是意料中的事了,肥牛的肥肉和肉的比例差不多是1:1了...這麼肥.....怎吃其它東西.....也算過得去吧只是湯底真的沒有什麼味道,我吃東西時幾乎是浸著醬油吃才能有一些味道在口中。更何況吃肉唯有安慰自己這是任食火鍋的弊處吧!叫了一輪,再吃第二輪也是有漏單的情況,特意叫了人把配料補上也沒有補上過,以為是沒有該貨但眼見隔離遲叫的都有該配料...真的令人失望!!!

唯有安慰自己這是任食火鍋的弊處吧!
叫了一輪,
再吃第二輪也是有漏單的情況,
特意叫了人把配料補上也沒有補上過,
以為是沒有該貨但眼見隔離遲叫的都有該配料...
真的令人失望!!!

Other Info. : 這間酒樓所有東西都是自助的, 幾乎沒有服務可言, 任飲任食包的飲品要叫幾次才拿來, 加湯也是, [b]連要一罐可樂也是要在雪櫃自己拿!!!!![/b]

上個禮拜同左女友同幾個fan一齊去左呢間店,超多人,我地由7點半開始等等到9點先有位,岩岩有特價,但唔唔記得一人要幾多錢,好似埋單一人唔洗$120佢d沙爹湯底好濃,好味,佢d肥牛堅好味,必叫,其他d丸類同雞肉都唔錯,而且飲汽水飲到我地飲唔到都還可以,因為好多,其實真係好抵食,佢有野唔好就係d調味料要遂樣計錢,每樣$10,但都可以接受.佢d小二都算ok啦,速度都ok快,而且有問必答,雖然有d黑面,下次一定會再來.

We were there for hot pot.After waiting longer than 60 minutes of table, it takes over 30 minutes to have our food for limited time to finish the meal.We have placed the order and they just picked the wrong order with lot of missing orders for the first order. They egave us the first order of food when we ordered the 2nd time. They even asked us to make sure to tick the first order or 2nd order. I wonder what kind of service we are paying for???? We have placed the order and they just picked the wrong order with lot of missing orders for the first order. They egave us the first order of food when we ordered the 2nd time. They even asked us to make sure to tick the first order or 2nd order. I wonder what kind of service we are paying for???? Customers need to do their own job.... On the other hand, their food quality is bad I ever had. I am very disappointed and upset we had suffered last night.

Highly recommend not to go to a place like this. I am sure there are more places better than it.

I have to preface that we intended to go to Tim Ho Wan, the Dim-Sum Specialists 添好運點心專門店. But after seeing the large crowds and queue’s. . . Mr. J smartly had a back up with New Star Seafood, which was just around the corner.

After about a half-hour wait, we finally got our table. This low ceiling restaurant was packed with tables and people. I don’t think there’s any restaurant in Hong Kong, and perhaps Asia, that uses the dim sum push carts that we see in the US. Personally, I thought some of the allure and interesting facets of dim sum were picking and choosing what you wanted to eat as it rolled on by. With the menu, we hand-wrote the dishes were wanted. Our collective Chinese, though limited, coupled with deductive prowess of picture to number to name, allowed us to order some of our favorite dishes.

Our first order, of business, was the roasted pork. As you can guess, I was drawn to the pork, which can be written in any language – and I’ll figure it out, was my first pick. Thank goodness it arrived first. I couldn’t believe how good the roasted pork was. The skin was crispy, as it should be. Then the pork, marbled, had the right fat to lean meat ratio. This combination of moistness with crispiness was perfect. I think, there and then, that this was the best roast pork that I had ever had. BEST.

Outside of the roast pork, I don’t remember much of anything else. I know we had the steamed sticky rice, the steamed pork dumplings, the steamed shrimp dumplings, the meatballs, and the deep fried dumpling with ground pork. The meatballs, which I mistakenly ordered, looked nasty, but tasted ok. With everything else, I shouldn’t have ordered it regardless. The steamed sticky rice was good. I like it with a little soy sauce and hot sauce to spice it up. The deep fried dumplings with ground pork were Mrs. C’s favorites.

Even with the roast pork, I am not sure I would return to New Star. The service is horrible. The staff is rude to customers, but they don’t care – with a packed house. If I was to return, it would only be to pick up a to-go order for the roast pork. Next time, I will wait for an hour – perhaps two for Tim Ho Wan.

因為等人收工夜, 所以幫襯9點後的任食火鍋,一來比9點前平$20一位, 二來唔限時間, 唔駛食得咁急.815pm去拿檯, 但門口已經有條人龍等9點後的檯,830pm派籌, 到9pm開始安排入座, 但吉檯沒有多少張,結果排第五張細檯都要等到930pm先有得入座。事先拿定order紙, 入座即入單, 但都要等近20分鐘才有火鍋料上檯, 同德x火鍋比, 這裡的火鍋料更新鮮同正,還有來料齊, 寫咩野就跟住黎齊, 唔齊同伙記講又即刻再同你入單拿來, 服務都算不錯, 但都要睇下係咩伙記,因為有些真係做得一頭汗, 有些只係做花瓶.雖然飲品只得百事同七喜, 啤酒只得ice, 但都叫可接受.唯一不滿的係廁所很不潔, 呢樣要扣分.

去到廣華街近醫院街口,本想到「添x運」試一試那裡的「星級」點心; 在門口排隊拿飛時,是下午2:00pm,店員說道: 「依家囉緊既飛係下晝4:00點先入家下~」我已立時調頭送人。心上: 「飲茶食點心姐~洗唔洗!」其實我朋友已老早已在街尾的「新星海鮮酒家」排隊,打算食下午茶時段 (其實下午茶時段都係每樣點心平$2,由下午2:00pm開始)。差不多2:20pm便有位,可以入場。叫了壺「香片」,還可以。點心如下: 蒸齋腸粉 - 是只有「粉皮」無「餡料」的齋腸。我朋友極力推介。無介紹錯,質地是比有餡腸粉更嫩滑~!更幼細~!鮮蝦腸粉 - 腸粉皮是嫩滑,但怪就怪在蝦有股隱約的怪味,可能唔新鮮。蝦餃 - 皮厚,蝦餡又是有股隱約怪味。鳳爪 - 好味,「淋」晒,入口即溶,很容易便可以在嘴裡進行「骨肉分離」的動作。金錢肚 - 好入味,好「淋」,但又保持到那金錢肚纖維獨有的爽口感覺,我會推介這個。排骨 - 一般「標準」貨色,真係好「排骨」: 好大粒骨,好少肉。雞扎 - 無驚喜,就是雞扎一碟。流沙包 - 味道不錯,但有些「大細超」: 我朋友的那個有很多餡,我的那個就真的是「流流地」,很少餡。

同事退休,farewell午飯唔少得!依間算係嗰頭首選的茶樓,老細請客包兩枱,任點任食!是日所點都係點心為主,不過已叫人跌眼鏡。流沙奶皇包 - 最名不符實,完全唔流,無咗食到成手都係奶皇的情景;蝦餃 - 物價通漲縮水可以諒解,不過唔爽口唔彈牙就唔掂;燒賣 - 同蝦餃一樣唔爽口,食咗完全唔覺係食緊燒賣lor;牛肉腸粉 - D牛肉少得可憐,腸粉皮厚到阿媽都唔認得,正因為厚皮,食咗落肚發漲已佔不少位置;咸水角 - 還算脆身,不但D內涵就偷工減料lor;鳳爪 - 總算係水準,夠軟身,又入味;椰皇焗西米布甸 - 全場最佳,焗得剛剛好,少少焦香喺面頭,中間D西米布甸就滑口,味道好,唔會太黏!水準再跌,唔使錢都去第二間!
