Signature Dishes
Been craving sushi very often lately and decided to come here and WOW i was disappointed. Upon arrival I already noticed that there were no other customers - a sign that suggests they probably dont get rid of their sashimi stock quick enough for fresh fish to be sourced. I started hoping that they would surprise us as I was the one who suggested coming here with my mom and would get blamed if things turned out very bad. I did not expect standard to be same as sushi ta-ke/toku seeing that the sushi set costed only 190 - but it was probably evenworse than genki sushi. (Sushi shin set lunch is around the sameprice but MUCH better) . I have no idea why this place has 16 smiles on openrice!? I have stopped writing here for a while but my meal here was so horrible that I feltthe need to warn other people about it. WASTED A MEAL EATING HORRIBLE SUSHI . The only edible thing here was the salad with a standard japanese dressing. The Sashimi was stale and poorly cut. The tuna had so much tendon it was chewy and all the fish were tasteless and DRY! I am much happier eating at a place like senryo. The waiter's attitude wasn't too bad but I guess he probably knew the food sucked (even the chawanmushi was bad) so didnt bother to ask how our meal went. never again. btw my mom had the uni rice and it was no good either with 2 tiny pieces of uni and someunfresh ikura on top.

......Have been here a few times and even posted pics below.It is good to revisit here as this is still one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in town.The food selection seems to have been streamlined a bit however, but the food done by the Japanese Chef Owner is still of a very high standard.

朋友對壽司凍嘢麻麻哋, 但又想食日本料理, 我提議到這傳統的板前吃午餐.叫咗兩個一湯兩菜飯 ($185) 一齊吃, 括前菜, 白飯, 麵豉湯, 醃菜, 甜品和咖啡.豚肉生姜燒 : 呢個好大碟, 食極都食唔完 .本日燒魚: 肉質好的, 又嫩滑, 但份量略嫌較少.豆腐沙律:用料新鮮 胡麻鯛魚茶漬 (+30): 鯛魚用芝麻醬汁醃過, 有肉汁, 細細件, 容易入口, 而綠茶倒在白飯上, 味道似茶泡飯. 餘下的綠茶直接品味, 一滴也不會浪費 服務態度不俗, 環境清靜, 感覺舒服.

今次食懷石料理. 唔平, 但真係好正, 值得一試.首先講下什麼是懷石料理 - 懷石料理極端講求精緻,無論餐具還是食物的擺放都要求很高(但食物的份量卻很少)而被一些人視為藝術品,高檔懷石料理也耗費不菲。主要乘裝食物的器具有陶器、瓷器、漆器等。師傅 - 係日本人,會為每枱客人精心設計食物, 每枱客人都唔同, 會看你是什麼人(香港人/外國人/日本人), 會否飲酒, 朋友/情侶, 等等 去調製不同的味道.侍應 - 都係日本人(有一個識廣東話)~~所以大部份客都係日本人. 食物 - 用料極之新鮮. 上菜順序

不知為什麼食評這麼高~~~雖然今天是星期六,但連我們在內只有三批客人。如不吃懷石料理, menu選擇不多,我們8时到达,约1/4 叫的食物都已售罄.14件的什錦刺身細實是貴精不貴多,細件得可憐,但成為$450大元每人吃了$300也没有一点饱的感觉...ai. 我們一伙人最後只好轉戰到causeway bay其他的甜品店
