To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 我們叫了四人餐,上完第一輪菜後,等了至少40分鐘還不上第二輪,要求侍應跟進,但對方不耐煩地說:「其他人都等緊㗎啦!」「叫餐係咁㗎啦,要等埋一齊炒」,而且目露凶光,睥住我們一枱,不肯幫我們跟單。然後我們再等了~10分鐘還是沒有上菜,再催了一次,她才死死地氣跟單,然後不到兩分鐘就上了一道菜。食完一道又要再催才上下一道菜,好像要踢一腳才郁一下🙂整頓飯食了超級久,浪費時間,而且食物質素也下降,沒有以前的好食。 continue reading

又是一間沒有靈魂的食店,有其形冇其實的集團式鴨店,片皮鴨將工序簡化變燒鴨.不倫不類,鴨上枱 前,只是一些連刀也揸不好的員工,將鴨穀以皮連肉像切水菓般片肉,再將整塊鴨肉如燒臘般斬件碎上,肉不連皮,再將各自分離的皮肉再拼埋一碟,鴨肉入口起渣也碎也冇鴨味,就是鴨存放一段時間,以鴨為此店招牌菜也如此不濟,其它菜也不用說,唯獨生煎包竟有板有眼,包底脆,包皮軟綿,肉汁豐富自然,不像坊間那些如湯包的煎包,入口層次分明.對我來說生煎包是這店算是不錯的食物.這店三流收費四流服務九流食物,真的讓我懷念過去那些老店的味道,這些本沒倒置的食店又是劣幣驅逐良幣的好例子. continue reading
