I go to Mr Korea (BBQ) pretty often so it's interesting to see that they've decided to branch into the fried chicken business as well. The menu is posted in other reviews so I'll skip it. It's in Korean, English & Chinese. They serve about 10 different types of fried chicken, spicy chicken feet and salad. Surprisingly, they also serve a fair amount of cooked food like kimchi pancake, rolled omelet and various side dishes.

For beer, they only have draft Asahi and Erdinger Weissbier. I'm surprised they didn't serve  Korean Beer (draft or not). We ordered two draft Asahi ($68 x2), Half Original & Half Spicy Fried Chicken ($168) and a Kimchi Pancake ($108)

The batter on the original chicken was crunchy and rather tasty. However, both types of chicken were fairly dry, especially the one with the spicy sauce. The spicy sauce was more sweet than spicy. If you have to try, I suggest going for the original taste instead of the spicy sauce.

These chicken chunks were a bit better than those I had at SU but less good than those at Mix & Rice and Fairyland. The best is still LI KA (HOF & SOJU).

The kimchi pancake was much better than the fried chicken. It was crispy outside and soft inside. As the name suggests, it was filled with a large amount of kimchi. At $108, this wasn't exactly cheap.

What's to comment about the beer? Well, for a place with a motto like "Beer is the best partner of fried chicken", the beer was horrible. It wasn't fresh at all. It tasted stale and irony. My friend and I both couldn't finish more than half the beer. I suspect that either the beer has gone stale and/or they didn't clean the tap properly.

Conclusion:

The service was very good.

However, in view of the quality of the food, this is not a place I'd really recommend. Mr Korea BBQ is much better.
