To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 端午節總是要品嘗一下鹼水粽,今年又挑選了嘉麟樓的鹼水粽來試,包裝盒子依然富麗堂皇,不過鹼水粽的味道就是沒有驚喜。蓮蓉鹼水粽入面既餡料好散,呈漿糊狀,微甜感,沒有什麼味道,鹼水粽外面質地帶軟綿感,基本上沒有什麼特別,亦沒有什麼驚喜,就是一隻非常普通的鹼水粽,亦不會覺得特別好食。以名氣及品牌來希講,價格當然吾會平,所以先會有所期望,不過試完後反而有點點失望,因為質素絕非預期,希望餐廳明年會有更多的驚喜比客人吧~
