To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 少有住家飯吃的小弟,今日應約與三位朋友來到銅鑼灣晚餐,吃的正是名為「住家菜」的餐廳。小店以深棕配米白色作主調,燈光略為昏暗,卡座長檯形如港式茶餐廳,但格調相對較高檔,不過座位略為擠迫。這裡賣的是一般中式小炒,以住家風味為題,我們一行四人最後點了四餸一湯便成。 蕃茄薯仔黃豆豬骨湯:為是日例湯,以新式瓦煲奉上,每人分得近兩碗,份量算是充足。例湯的蕃茄及薯仔味道頗重,加入黃豆更添了獨特的豆香,但整體也不會太濃郁,頗有住家風味,如果可以再添些豬骨味道便會更佳。 鎮江小排骨:排骨肉厚,切成小塊以鎮江醋處理,味道帶酸甜而不嗆喉,但多吃始終頗膩,只能淺嘗吧。 腐乳蒸雞:雞件肉多卻不太嫩滑,但腐乳味道很突出,惹味得來也不會太鹹,是為整晚味道最好和最「住家」的一道菜。 麵豉豆腐斑腩煲:豆腐與斑腩均不是經油炸處理,故豆腐味道異常清淡,但斑腩則較鮮嫩,而且相對入味。可惜麵豉味不算重,但整體味道較鹹,味道過於濃郁,欠了那份住家風味。 乳香粗齋菜:齋菜質素一般,但南乳味香濃,完全滲進材料內,算是可以了。 紫米露:為奉送的飯後甜品,除了黑糯米,還加入少量西米,味道不會太甜,而且口感豐富,以奉送而言確是不錯。

整體食物質素與味道以一般中式小炒店而言算是不錯,但如標榜住家風味略嫌不夠「住家」。由於用膳期間店外大排長龍,所以店員均趕著收拾碗碟,吃得不夠自在。如想與一眾朋友促膝詳談,這裡似乎不能滿足大家了。
