To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 作為逾廿年的沙田街坊,其實很多食肆也是未曾到過,就以酒家為例,平時多數光顧大圍及市中心幾間店號,較為偏離遠處的娛樂城,已是少來到埗。近日就和家人到了內裡的富臨漁港,約十時四十五分鐘的時份,門口已人頭湧湧,為了十一時前的早市優惠,即使需要搭檯,也唯有屈就一下了。其實一週內共來了兩頓,第一次點的,全是屬早市點心的優惠:先來一碗魚滑粥,粥底來說厚薄適中,來餡的鯪魚滑份量不少,灑了胡椒粉後,味道還不錯。再來一個豉油王火腿炒麵,作為廚房的批量出品,其實炒得甚為火侯乾身,加上甚為入味,配上火腿及黃芽白,亦見不俗。鮮蝦腸來得中規中矩,不過其拉皮還算滑溜,醬油味道略為見淡。大路點心有蟹籽燒賣及山竹牛肉,弄得不過不失,對於要求不高的茶客,已是可以接受。少見款式的有舊式的糯米包,澄麵皮上包著的是糯米,有道物以罕為貴,惟糯米內餡不見太多臘味粒,略為乾了一點。當天還點了一個臘腸排骨飯,正值臘味當造,配合略帶肥身的排骨,這油香味道確引人食慾,可惜飯底的份量也真「惜歛」,論飯質也稍為軟了一點。第一頓約以一百元下樓,以三個人的價錢來說,已算合理,隔週再來,也想點一下餐紙內的招牌食品:今次點的粥品改為南瓜粥,粥底印象

今次點的粥品改為南瓜粥,粥底印象仍不俗,而配料改為南瓜塊後,味道更見鮮甜。

蘿蔔絲酥餅是其自稱的招牌點心,看酥皮確是挺身而鬆化,內裡炒過蘿蔔絲亦見清甜,可惜暖度只屬暖和,食味大打折扣。

再來的蟹粉小籠包更見失望,其實看色澤也知蟹粉份量不少,可惜蒸到漏盡湯汁,乾身的小籠包,吃得自不甚滋味,不少食肆正乘蟹粉及京式點心潮,推出「時令」出品,可惜廚房功力不足,出品也是見了底。

最後來個廿二元的叉燒飯,反而是當天最大的驚喜。碗頭飯底來得足夠,摸上手亦覺熱騰,飯身來得爽口,加上上面的叉燒肥瘦適中,肉質腍身嫩口,加上外層蜜味盈豐,外層略帶脆邊,與很多地區名店比較,味道不遑多讓。

兩餐中亦有少量的相覆之作,隔週的味道總算相差不大,各道食品間互有參差,加上服務上亦見混亂(主要集中在第二頓),有時一張大檯分成三張大檯,茶客間既互不相識,大家除了要有所遷就之外,還請服務員小心謹慎。還好價錢亦見合理,某部份食品亦見不俗,看這裡還是來得過的。
