To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 亞叔建議一家人一起去郊遊, 大家行到中午時分就來天虹食個豐富海鮮餐炒芥蘭, 椒鹽炸魷魚,蒸鮑魚仔,豉椒炒蜆,紅燒乳鴨,椒鹽賴尿蝦 ,白灼東風螺及蝦醬炒飯8個小菜作為午餐真係相當豐富蒸鮑魚仔用上果皮一起蒸香味撲鼻, 蒸既時間掌握得好好,鮑魚肉夠鮮甜彈牙絕不韌.白灼東風螺亦係我至愛, 原汁原味夠鮮夠肥美.椒鹽賴尿蝦, 肉質實又夠肥美, 而且炸後亦不覺油膩, 非常香口.豉椒炒蜆偏咸而且有沙, 造碟海鮮算我係最唔滿意.小菜我地一家最愛反而係個蝦醬炒飯, 炒得飯粒粒分明, 帶濃郁蝦醬味而不太咸整體上海鮮都算新鮮, 炒功亦了得, 不過價錢略縑偏貴.
