To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 小編和家人在星期二下午茶時段去八月花飲茶, 發現人手嚴重不足, 明明有空桌但由於沒有人手收拾, 所以遲遲都不叫新客入座, 導致門外有人龍等入座。需要注意的是下午茶時段3點鐘截單, 大約4點左右會是酒樓的落場時段, 會請顧客離開。白灼田園蔬 (可選翡翠苗/芥蘭苗/菜心苗)小編選了芥蘭苗, 灼得爽脆不會過淋, 灼的時候有加油, 就算白灼也有輕微的鹹味, 非常好吃。炸菜肉絲炆米粉份量十足, 略嫌汁水過多, 炆米粉有點過濕和淋, 介乎湯米粉和炆米粉之間。芥末蟹籽手撕雞芥末是日式那種Wasabi, 並非中式的黃芥末, 略為攻鼻, 不能接受Wasabi的人士絕對不建議點這道菜。蟹籽略少, 近乎沒有。手撕雞除了芥末調味之外可以吃到麻油香, 如果酒樓有一款正常的麻油手撕雞, 相信會非常熱門。菠蘿咕嚕肉小編很喜歡有好多三色椒和菠蘿。作為主角的咕嚕肉炸粉略厚、豬肉略肥, 一般啦。下午茶點心三寶 (陳皮牛肉球 + 鳳城糯米卷 + 蜜汁叉燒包)八月花的點心都是比較「精緻」,份量和尺寸都略小, 讓人有一種意猶未盡的感覺。點心質素不算標青, 只是正常。總括而言, 八月花人手不足, 服務欠奉, 正價時段的話價錢略貴

八月花的點心都是比較「精緻」,份量和尺寸都略小, 讓人有一種意猶未盡的感覺。點心質素不算標青, 只是正常。
總括而言, 八月花人手不足, 服務欠奉, 正價時段的話價錢略貴, 性價比低, 但勝在位置很好, 在大商場裡面, 環境舒服, 是一個與親朋戚友共聚的好地方, 至於…想享受點心/中菜的話, 還是去別家吧。
