很多元朗人都知道元朗有兩家牛腩名店,嘉麗園這老店可謂名傳千里,引來不少區內外,甚至國內及老外遊客光顧,老闆鬍鬚佬是是出名的「寸」傢伙,不過「寸」得起,牛腩出品確是一級棒。後起之秀有麵傳世家,牛腩出品亦絶對出色,依我的井龜之見,他們出品不輸品店華姐、九記。但要吃手切牛腩,元朗其實還有第三家好選擇,它便是本遍主角潮龍。以性價比而言,較上述兩家都高很多,龜龜經常吃他們的崩沙腩河粉,一碗只賣HK$32,崩沙腩只佔整幅牛腩的兩成,乃筋肉相連最為味美的部位,平常一家麵店一碗都會索價接近HK$40。看下圖,鹵水牛腩炆得香滑入味,河粉為滑溜靚貨,最令龜龜滿意的是那口香濃的牛湯,甘香濃郁。龜龜常在下午茶時段光顧,惠顧任何麵食都贈送熱飲,加HK$3可轉凍飲,本來性價比以甚高的麵食,變得平上加平平平!
