To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 太興相對樂富其他食店來說, 價錢較高, 但平日lunch time都要等位 八寶飯 ($52 包熱飲) 燒肉: 皮脆厚肉 雞: 只有雞胸, 皮爽肉滑 燒鵝: 較失望, 肉較實, 且多骨少肉 叉燒: 心諗是招牌菜一定keep住水準, 點知叉燒太乾, 還以為會新鮮多汁 燻蹄: 切得稍薄 墨魚: 爽口唔韌 咸蛋: 帶有油香; 紅腸: 偏淡 醬汁只給兩種 --- 薑蔥蓉及點燻蹄的醋, 那麼燒鵝及燒肉就無相應的醬了 紐西蘭牛柳絲瑞士汁炒濕河 ($43) 與期望中相符, 牛柳絲鬆軟, 河粉幼滑, 帶有少少黏度 炒工一流, 河粉條條都保持完整, 與瑞士汁透徹拌勻, 即使上桌後五分鐘先食, 整碟河粉還熱騰騰冒熱氣 唯一缺點是偏鹹及多味精, 食完會好口渴
