連鎖咖啡店的質素向來都不敢恭維,在香港更甚少有方便而有水準的咖啡店,而擁有四間分店的The Cupping Room卻是多年來一直享負盛名,雖然並非咖啡愛好者但亦已久仰大名。這日平日到訪灣仔店享用下午茶,店內分為兩層寬敞明亮。以「冠軍咖啡店」見稱固然少不了一系列咖啡選擇,據說更曾奪得多個咖啡大賽獎項,而除了咖啡外其他飲品及輕食亦不乏吸引力。Eggs Benedict w/ Smoked Salmon ($108)除了一般常見的煙三文魚外,班尼迪蛋更可選配慢烤手撕豬肉,可惜當日已經售罄。除此之外亦可加配其他配料,大啡菇 ($30) 烤過之後仍然肉厚多汁。酸種麵包烤得香脆,質感偏硬兼帶煙韌感,未必人人喜歡但卻正中下懷。荷蘭醬亦有別一般沙律醬狀,有如鮮忌廉一樣輕滑濃稠,滲出淡淡檸檬酸香,加上兩隻半熟蛋蛋黃更顯豐潤。Creme Brulee French Toast ($108)多士半煎炸至金黃酥脆,內層卻有如海綿一樣濕潤鬆軟,盡吸雞蛋及牛油醇香,本身已經充滿楓糖漿甜香,毋須另加調味已經恰到好處。香蕉表層燒成焦糖脆面,另外再配上士多啤梨及Mascarpone,香甜簡單卻令人滿足。Rosemar
