Went shopping in Causeway Bay on Friday night, Hubby intended to buy a pair of shoes in Times Square. However, ran out of his size, so we needed to wait for the shop to call in for stock for trial on another day. It was time to have dinner, we went upstairs to Chung Cuisine, wishing to have its set meal for one person again, however, it was full and the receptionist had no intention to ask us to wait for table. Okay, then off we went, there were queues in other Chinese restaurants too. So we
We ordered a (魚甘)魚兩食, 冬瓜燉翅, 雜菌紅燒豆腐. Actually we had not tried (魚甘)魚 before, so did not know what it was like. One of the dish was a fried (魚甘)魚 with vegetables and another one was steamed (魚甘)魚 with fermented bean sauce.
冬瓜燉翅: Came in a small steam soup mug for each of us. The melon was nicely cut in round shape and the shark fin was placed on top. There was a piece of pompoy and also a piece of chicken underneath. Now this soup was on special promotion at $18 each serving. In term of its price, its quality was very okay. Not a bad choice.
(魚甘)魚兩食: fried (魚甘)魚 with vegetables then came. The (魚甘)魚 fillet was fried nicely in a large piece, however, it would be better if lesser oil was added. The vegetables were crispy. The steamed (魚甘)魚 with fermented bean sauce was nice. I appreciated that they did not add too much fermented bean sauce so giving the dish a lighter taste, which I preferred. Both dishes were nice and quite reasonable price. They were only $188 a set.
雜菌紅燒豆腐: This dish was not bad either. The tofu was deep fried nicely and yet was very soft inside. The sauce was also light. However, we found it hard to consume all three dishes, so in the end we had to takeaway almost the whole dish tofu home.
All in all, the dishes of this restaurant were not too bad. Hope that it added more seafood dishes as nowadays more and more people are more health conscious.
