自己常跟朋友說,港島區的粥店首選上環生記,而九龍區就一定是旺角街市內的妹記。生記以豬骨湯熬粥底,但妹記卻是以魚類來作粥底,兩者風味截然不同,一個是肉香,而另一個是魚鮮。今次點了豬心牛肉粥,檔主用「單料銅煲」煮粥,火力猛而溫度平均,粥料亦容易熟,但豬心雖然鮮,但仍有血水,根本未熟,唯有泡入熱粥之內,稍後再食,而牛肉就恰到好處,嫩又滑,加上粥底鮮甜,米又煲至開花,真的好味。
