To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期日到太湖飲茶,發現太湖的點心食得出由點心師父親手做,整體都意外地好食。除了點心紙上的點心,有時職員會整盤食物由廚房托出,食物份量有限,食客清盤後就沒有/要再等待新一盤出爐,其中炒麵同迷你菠蘿包就是例子。當日食的點心整體味道滿意:叉燒酥新鮮重牛油味,餡料足;炒麵香口夠乾身;馬拉糕夠鬆軟且不鬆散。比較下,燒賣就略粉。迷你菠蘿包有夠新鮮,不過咬落時皮與包即分離就扣了些分,但餡料特別,不太肯定是否由蓮蓉加豆而成,如遇到出爐可以一試,坊間的確少見這味道的迷你菠蘿包。總括而言,點心食到點心師父心機,員工亦很友善很有記性,會用心去記你的order,故對太湖印象還好。
