To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一直都好鐘意食南記,由重口味嘅小鍋酸辣到清湯招牌河 (清湯先可以落辣椒油,小鍋酸辣落咗都遮哂,同埋佢本身都夠哂味) 我都好鐘意,雖然餸方面我淨係鐘情腩肉 (唔知點解近年餐牌改咗叫辣豬肉) 同埋春卷,幾乎來來去去都係揀呢兩樣餸咁滯,但係都無損我對佢嘅熱情,自從年零前嘅新湯底麻酸辣 (我覺得呢個湯底太鹹) 之後,今日如常去南記發現又有新湯底喇,就係酸菜魚湯底,酸菜石班魚米線套餐跟杯豆漿盛惠53,呢個湯底味道夠哂酸,非常頂癮,本身唔係好辣所以有條件落辣椒油,落完之後嗰個酸度同辣度係我至愛嘅水平,餸菜方面,收得你嗰53蚊,個”石班”魚係點相信都會有心理準備,比較特別嘅係入面有花生芽(雖則我唔係好好) 同幾舊醃過嘅酸蘿蔔,夠哂誠意,暫時呢個酸菜魚湯底成為咗我喺南記嘅飛佛。
