翻查「細蓉」嘅典故,源自國學大師王亭之曾指細蓉係西關大少發明,因為當時西關大少是廣東富裕人家,不多體力勞動,每次食雲吞麵都嫌份量太多,要麵鋪將麵份量減半。又有人會叫雲吞麵為「蓉」,「芙蓉」形容外貌美麗的女子,喻作靚麵,慢慢「細蓉」成為雲吞麵代名詞。不過唔係每碗雲吞麵都叫細蓉,簡單有三種分類—「細蓉」 1 個麵餅加 4 粒雲吞「中蓉」就 1.5 個麵餅加 6 粒雲吞「大蓉」則是 2 個麵餅加 8 粒雲吞麥明記嘅嫡傳雲吞麵(大)就有大概 1.5 個麵餅加 5 粒雲吞,不過都係細碗,味道的確唔錯連湯都飲埋,食完好快就肚餓
