To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

金祥排骨麵這間湯面店已經開業很多年,雖然價錢也有上升,但可能地點並非位於大街,租金較合理,所以價錢相當合理,甚至可說平宜。餐牌很平實,看似很亂、很多組合,其實很簡單。以最基本的湯面為例,配一種肉類(雲吞、水餃、炸排骨、牛腩、牛肉、雞球等)為 32元;加冬菇為 35元;配二種肉類為 37元;三種餸為 40多元。既然名字為排骨麵,當然點了排骨,另外加配冬菇。排骨為上海式的排骨,其實即是炸豬排。豬排分開上碟,避免被麵湯浸淋,符合最基本要求。冬菇大少尺寸合格,夠入味,又不太鹹。至於店鋪頼以成名的炸排骨,多年前店東在店內貼滿雜誌訪問,標榜採用新鮮豬排醃制後再沾上粉槳油炸,香口鮮味。時至今日,是否仍然採用新鮮本地或中國內地豬排?我不肯定,但豬排吃下一口,香脆依然,只是已經變得較薄身及細塊了,而且鮮味稍為欠奉,莫非已經改用急凍豬排?論豬排質素,與香港本地的高級日式炸豬排飯比較,當然差一截。但比起次一兩級的平價日式豬排飯,則稍為優勝,起碼平手。但價格平一大截,夫復可求!
