To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日下雨天,想起公司同事說在附近食點辣,可以軀寒,就到這間店試試。已經有一段時間沒來,餐牌也不同了。疫情嚴峻時,價錢比較便宜及更多選擇。這間店長期都很多人排隊,特別是中午的時候,輪候等位較混亂,等了20分鐘才進店。店員推介新的櫻花餐牌,但我完全沒有興趣,感覺很伏,所以選擇了套餐。本來在擔擔面及炸醬麵中猶豫,最後揀了炸醬麵。炸醬麵,特意叫店員剪面。味道不錯。一大碗,吃不完。小食是跟餐的,揀了雞絲粉皮,花生醬味很香,很好吃,一點也不漏,廚師做得很出色。至於素餃,從前是可以揀小籠包和鍋貼的。但現在沒得揀,唯有揀素餃。可能沒有肉的原因,很難吃。溫度是夠熱,但非常難食,咬了一口就不想食了。另一個伏點,就是潤肺湯。員工是先上湯的,但我想留待最後,結果都涼了。湯油膩油膩的,十分後悔沒有揀飲品,竟然揀了湯。整體而言,面是出色的,雞絲粉皮也十分好。無奈的是,店舖收這個價錢,仍不願意落本,換回小籠包及鍋貼給客人揀。溫馨提示,強烈建議客人揀飲品,不要揀湯,否則整個口腔,吃完面後,油膩油膩的感覺。
