Westwood Carvery 是食友 K 介紹的西餐廳,位處越夜越熱鬧的蘭桂坊。餐廳分上下兩層,裝潢簡約舒適。上層用餐區自成一角,格調更佳,不論二人同行或三五知己品酒聊天也合適。 首先品嚐沙律冷盤 Roasted Beetroot & Pumpkin Salad,主要食材有紅菜頭、南瓜及火箭菜,配搭比一般菜蔬沙律特別。火箭菜是優質的沙律菜,口味清新獨特。雖然筆者不太愛好這股青葱味道,但在泛甜的紅菜頭與南瓜相伴下,整體味道變得平易近人。 Homemade Beef Barley Vegetable Soup 是一道值得推介的湯品,菜肉份量比例合適,清甜得來洋溢一陣肉香,加上味道微微帶辣,多送味蕾一份刺激享受。相比之下,Mushroom Soup 的製作平實多了,菌香不算重,未能予人驚喜。 有美酒提供的地方,餐單上的前菜小吃多以香口炸物為主,Westwood Carvey 亦不例外。Avocado Wontons 經炸煮後外觀呈金元寶狀,頗適合將臨的新年時節。輕咬一口,金黃的外層順勢破開,伴隨清脆的卜卜聲。雲吞內層不是一般的蝦肉餡,而是以牛油果、芫荽及羅望子蜜糖醬 (Tamar
