To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期日到了富臨旗下的皇室1號晚飯,全間酒樓只是有一張餐牌,諗住食特價走地雞$38,但我們七點鐘到達已經完全售罄!點了黑椒牛仔粒也都售罄,後來改了半隻BB豬,外皮鬆脆但可惜非常肥膩,廚師做得比較鹹!蒜蓉蒸帶子可能不太新鮮,蒜蓉過多,食不出鮮味。蜜汁叉燒比較瘦,如果半肥瘦會比較理想,味道也偏鹹!豉汁蒸白鱔其中一兩件味道有點古怪,油份過多。最後清蒸石班本人喜歡吃魚的肚子,放入口內有一兩篇魚鱗之餘帶點苦味,可能都是不太新鮮的原因。全晚最好食的可能是上湯雲耳浸菜心吧!全晚服務員全場只得3-4人,入座後沒有人問我們飲什麼茶,難以找服務員幫助,希望未來日子會有改善呢
