To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 首先上枱係檸檬茶,少茶味而微微偏甜。梅菜扣肉上枱時賣相唔吸引,睇餐牌相片就幾吸引,但現場水準一般,與期望有差別。腩肉嚡口肉味道偏淡,而梅菜就碎濕濕似用機器攪伴過,腩肉與梅菜兩位主角質量一般,米飯軟硬度適中,墊底青菜算可以。其實好多茶餐廳或者小菜館都可以做得比較出色。太興梅菜扣肉煲價錢唔算平宜,好彩當晚有特別優惠,滿$100加$36送半隻雞,算係拉上補下。香茅豉油雞夠味,有微微嘅香茅同埋豉油香味,味道適中,不過啲肉就較嚡,而雞味偏淡。伴碟有簡單裝飾,只有蔥蓉而無甜豉油汁。唔知係唔係潮流少人食薑,抑或啲薑貴,好少食到薑蔥蓉,味道真係爭咁啲,至於碟蔥蓉夠蒽味,不過用鹽非常重手。香茅豉油雞水準好過梅菜扣肉煲。清潔整體算合格,地下睇到好多頭頭屋尾碎片。服務則夠勤快有禮貌,食物上枱從四方八面遞過嚟,前後左右上菜,就算後面隔住埲矮牆都難唔住佢哋遞碗飯過嚟。
