契娘壽辰,契爹爹及兩位愛女專登揀咗間人氣新店「Birdie」,一家十二口去開P,食佢最愛嘅日式串燒雞。店子位於樓梯街(又稱「石板街」)上一幢新進食廈「H Code」內,地點其實唔係咁就腳,老人家行上行落可算甚有難度,飯前飯後飲多咗兩杯就更加屬高危地帶。樓上串燒店光線充裕,中央大型嘅弧形開放式廚房被十八個吧位圍繞著,食客可邊飲、邊食、邊睇住師傅們燒煮食物。圍牆及窗邊則有幾張合併式嘅二至多人散座,當晚十二人就被安排入座其中兩張六人枱。落地玻璃身後有個小露台,相信係為方便煙民而設。店內四周十分簡潔,用上嘅簡單佈置均與燒鳥及雞雞有關。木造嘅餐桌上擺放有牙籤及竹籤桶。每個位前亦有齊備嘅自用餐具、乾紙巾、濕紙巾、調味醬。設計最具心思就係個超衛生嘅筷子座。餐牌道出餐店黃昏六時開門,亦即只做晚市,據悉分六點及九點兩輪。如店名所示,餐廳主打雞隻不同部位之串燒菜式。另外都有提供牛、豬、蔬菜、小食、飯麵、甜品嘅項目。飲品方面不時會有季節限定嘅日本清酒及特價推介。其餘長期都有嘅洋酒、清酒、汽水等則有三頁之多。貴客如欲自攜佳釀,開瓶費為$200/一樽375mL或以下、$300/一樽750mL或以下、$500/一
