To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 來到荃灣逛街,對在下來說已經算近了。本想到荃新天地逛商場,可是卻不想逛,於是只有在街市街和眾安街一帶逛逛便算了。初時只想吃簡單的食物便算,可是卻來到太興,就不如吃一頓燒味,而太興也是以燒味聞名。在太興用餐,少不免同類食店中收費較高,但是倘若產品有質素的話,依然有其客人的。在下入門口服務員便問在下多少人,當然只有在下。甫一坐下,便看著兩位服務員在忙著她們的工作,在下等了一下便呼叫服務員為在下落單,在下選擇了叉燒紅腸飯加一碟菜心及凍菜蜜。落單後服務員依舊忙著她們的工作。在下等著的時候,看看水吧,師傅們都忙著他們的工作--靳燒臘和在泡製各式的飲品。燒味飯終於來到。細看叉燒,與在下在其他食店有點不同,這裡看似較淋,色澤也較淺,而紅腸色澤看起來也較淺色和平滑。燒味用的醬油也不是那麼多,也不是那麼深色。吃起叉燒時,確實如看到的較淋,並非想像中那麼的硬和鞋,而紅腸也不覺得是燒過,所以看起來是平滑,吃起來也是沒有燒烤過的。在下一邊吃飯一邊吃菜,菜心似乎淥得太淋,欠缺了爽脆的口感,這是在下第一次吃到這麼淋的菜心,雖然如此,但是仍然有菜可以吃到,也是健康的飲食習慣。餐飲方面在下要避免晚間飲用含有咖啡因的飲

在下一邊吃飯一邊吃菜,菜心似乎淥得太淋,欠缺了爽脆的口感,這是在下第一次吃到這麼淋的菜心,雖然如此,但是仍然有菜可以吃到,也是健康的飲食習慣。

餐飲方面在下要避免晚間飲用含有咖啡因的飲品,避免晚上不能安睡,故此只有選擇凍菜蜜。初時服務員送上熱飲,後來在下要求轉換凍飲,服務員也欣然為在下轉換了飲品。不過這凍蜜並非在下慣常喝到的菜蜜,味道較淡且沒有那麼的甜。

太興引進了很多其他產品,如常餐和日式食品,也有各種小菜,可惜在下還是鐘情於她的燒味,可能在下會覺得太興的燒味會較專業。而在荃灣的太興是以卡座為主,也是只有一邊相對另一邊卻較少座位。進入了店舖,一如其他食店,便是廚房。
