不是蘭桂坊常客,平日亦極少會去蘭桂坊夜蒲,不過自從品嘗過和安里街角一間泰式串燒店《GRILL ขุนทอง》嘅出品後,每次心癮起,都會拉老公陪我過去食番一兩串惹味串燒。早前透過網頁得知,店子在隔壁舖位開了間姊妹店,取名《Thainan Chicken ขุนทอง》,據說店內除了以去骨泰南雞作主打外,還有好幾款泰式食品供應,而且仲要有位坐,無須立食,所以趁周日假期,就和老公來八卦一吓。原來店子地方不大,室內以長木桌和高腳櫈為主,細心一數,連埋門外一排向街的黑色摺櫈,約有二十來個座位,不過由於用餐區其中一面牆身用咗玻璃鏡作裝飾,令視覺上增添了不少空間感。午市餐牌很簡單,只有四款選擇,包括有去骨泰南雞飯、泰式串燒配炒飯及雜菜、泰式青咖喱牛腩飯、青木瓜手撕泰南雞沙律,全部連餐飲,定價一律為 $60,另外客人亦可以點選隔壁《GRILL ขุนทอง》的串燒食品,服務員會代為送上。揀了兩客飯再加幾串串燒,先上桌的去骨泰南雞飯 ($60),以一隻闊身長碟盛載,雞件和油飯分左右兩邊擺放,而托盤就另附上黑色豉油和泰式酸甜醬。雞件分量比想像中多,底下墊了些煮得腍甜的椰菜,雞肉香嫩滑溜、皮彈而脂肪少,有嚼勁,入

接著送上的泰式串燒配炒飯及雜菜 ($60),擺碟亦同樣一絲不苟,既整齊又企理。三串串燒,分別為豬、牛、雞各一,而旁邊就伴以炒飯。三款之中,個人覺得燒牛肉串水準最佳,咬下肉質軟嫩,帶牛肉香氣;豬肉串味道亦不俗,燒得很香口,吃起來肉嫩多汁;而雞肉串就燒至火候剛好,不會過燶,配內藏花生碎粒的沙嗲醬吃,極之惹味。當然旁邊的泰式炒飯,亦不容錯過,不但粒粒分明,而且香中帶辣,讓人一口接一口。

至於串燒方面,先講我至愛的白鱔 ($60/串),新鮮白鱔燒得鹹香豐腴,皮和肉咬下甘香脆口,而且完全無鱔嘅腥味,燒到連入面啲骨都脆埋,加上魚皮嘅油滲入了肉裡,令肉質更爽口彈牙,的確滋味無窮。

另外牛仔骨 ($40),水準亦唔錯,不但肉味重、而且質地幼嫩。原來據說牛仔骨醃之前會用人手捶鬆,再佐以醬汁燒至香口,難怪肉質軟滑得來又夠入味,送酒一流。

至於菠蘿 ($20) 同有機露筍,前者用上新鮮菠蘿烤至金黃,入口仍然 Juicy 多汁,味道酸酸甜甜,水準極高,吃罷可一解先前的肉膩感覺;而後者有機露筍 ($20),食落亦夠曬爽脆,入口清甜多汁,配跟餐的冰凍檸茶,一個字,爽!唯一可惜就是這邊沒酒精飲品供應,否則點支泰國或越南酒啤一啤,應該會更有風味。
