To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 首先我想講嘅係呢間餐廳,食物質素係唔差,選擇都有好多,但係就算係咁,都唔會再有下一次!呢間餐廳有三個價錢餐牌可以選擇,分別係貴,中,平。一坐低個侍應就推介我哋揀佢哋中價嘅餐牌,咁我哋都有聽佢嘅建議最後揀咗中間價位嘅餐牌,之後佢再upsell 我哋,佢話不如揀埋鴛鴦湯底,好平㗎咋,都係加$48,咁我哋都聽咗佢講揀咗鴛鴦湯底,最後埋單原來係人頭計$48,我哋一行五人,揀咗個鴛鴦湯底等於總共加大約$250,真係O晒嘴。咁嘅餐廳要用啲咁嘅招數誤導人,是否很唔掂?另外佢限時兩個鐘,qr code點菜,上菜勁慢,我哋7:30入座,8:10先上打邊爐嘅餸俾我哋,9:00已經催我哋埋單,0925埋單,就算我哋成枱都仲係嘢食,0930已經趕咗我哋出門口。所以勸大家,如果要喺度食要諗清楚!趕時間到好似冇食過嘢咁滯,而且埋單都唔平一個人差唔多五舊水。
